He practices no religion nor prays to any gods, but respects shrines and others beliefs. Some of his fellow sailors might think he is a mute and work with him for weeks, before hearing him speak and then only because it was necessary.

Geoffrey (as he is now known) has a dark past. Because of this he avoids crowds and any group of unknown people that might recognize him. He had been a pirate, but that life is behind him. He choose the name Geoffrey because often the pirates would mock a poor victim with that name as a someone who would not defend themselves.
-
As a young lad, his father was a merchant from Wanastow and captained his own ship. His Mother died of the pox when he was six so his father took him with him to sea and taught him the trade. When he was ten. His father’s ship was taken by pirates and all crew were killed stay him. The pirates invited him to join the crew or join his shipmates overboard. He opted for life and the terrible price that came with it. He never enjoyed the killing, but he
was good at it. His pirate comrades called him Death Duet because he fought with two sabers, like his father taught him.
-
He hated the life and the pirates and waited for his chance for revenge and to escape. He never spent his share of the booty on women and grog like his companions, but instead kept it in a secret place on the pirates secret island (The Roost). Someday he would return for it.
-
One day he had his chance to escape, the crew was shorthanded because they had already taken a large merchant ship and the crew divided, when they spotted a smaller dhow and the captain was too greedy to let it go. Him and two others were put on board to sail it back to the Roost, but they never made it and were never seen by the pirates again. His two comrades met a much deserved end. He sold the dhow for seed money. Thinking that he would stay on land maybe become a farmer (pirates hated the idea of being a farmer and it was one of the greatest insults). He tried farming, but the sea called him back as the only life he ever knew, but he is cautious and secretive about his past.
-
He is ambidextrous and a weapon master with the saber. He fights with two, one in each hand with duel weapon technique. He parries at 17 and as a weapon master with a fencing weapon his cumulative parry penalty is -1 per additional parry. He will often advance and retreat, and retreat gives him a +3 to parry and dodge. He feints with a skill of 28.
